Every Q4, forecasts fill our feeds\u2014GDP targets, growth outlooks, investment themes. But the real value of an outlook lies in how well it aligns with what\u2019s actually happening on the ground.<\/p>

In Indonesia, the ground reality remains anchored in the real economy. According to\u00a0Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), the country grew\u00a05.12% year-on-year in Q2 2025, supported by broad domestic activity.<\/p>

The\u00a0services sector\u00a0continues to be the biggest pillar of the economy, making up roughly\u00a043% of GDP, led by trade, transport, and finance.<\/p>

Within the industrial base,\u00a0manufacturing\u00a0remains the\u00a0largest single subsector, contributing\u00a018.67% of GDP, while\u00a0construction\u00a0follows at\u00a0around 9.5%.<\/p>

These two sectors together employ millions and drive investment in materials, housing, and logistics\u2014tangible signals of confidence that numbers alone can\u2019t fully capture.<\/p>

As forecasts for 2026 roll in, the most useful question isn\u2019t\u00a0how fast we\u2019ll grow\u2014but\u00a0where that growth is rooted.
